Sheregesh is a settlement in Tashtagol district of Kemerovo region (Mountain Shoria) located between the Altai and the Sayan Mountains at the foot of Karitshal Mountain. The alpine ski complex Sheregesh is known for its large amount of snow and backcountry skiing.

Lake Baikal is located in south-eastern Siberia, in the Republic Buryatia and the Irkutsk region. It harbours an outstanding variety of endemic flora and fauna. From 2008 the Baikal is on the list of the Seven Wonders of Russia.

Irkutsk is the old Siberian town, established in 1661 as a fort. It is located 63 km away from Lake Baikal. The city stands at the main traffic arteries connecting Europe with the Far-Eastern parts of Russia and The Pacific Rim countries.
