Guests of LumiFest will see Aleksandrovsky Park in a new light this October. The Park and the neighborhood will be brightened up from early morning to late evening.
Facades of buildings, footpaths and trees will be illuminated with more than 27 interactive and static installations. The program of the festival consists of performances, installations and contests.
Aleksandrovsky Park was opened in 1842. It was named after Emperor Alexander II who ordered some 52 species of trees to be planted there. It was formerly known as the Admiralty Boulevard, the Admiralty Gardens, and the Workers’ Garden. The Park includes a big variety of monuments and sculptures, which will take part as the full-fledged actors of the magical performance.
When: 8-9 October 2015 from 8 p.m. till 11 p.m.
